The local access to the casino will be from Business Park Dr. and Wilfred.

Proposed Freeway/Road Changes with Casino

Casino's Front Door is on Wilfred Ave.

If you drive on 101 past Rohnert Park in either direction, get ready for a lot more traffic.  You're going to have to deal with the delays caused by the estimated 27,000 car trips and 100 bus trips going in and out of the casino. Whether you live in Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park or any other community in Sonoma County, if you want to shop at the nearby stores you will have no choice but to fight your way through the tour buses and cars.

All Roads Lead to the Casino

As you look at the arial photo, the northbound 101 traffic, shaded in red, takes the Wilfred Avenue exit, turns left onto Commerce, and then turns left on Golf Course Drive to get to the casino. Golf Course is punched through under the raised freeway and becomes Wilfred Avenue.

The front door of the casino is located on Wilfred.

Shaded in goldenrod is the southbound traffic that exits off 101 and makes a right onto Wilfred to get to the casino.

In addition, the intersection at Golf Course and Commerce will become a major focal point with connections to the Northwestern Rail System, busses, and a large commuter parking lot.

Commerce and Roberts Lake Road will be connected.

At least part of Golf Course will be widened to two lanes in each direction.

The undercrossing that now leads to Home Depot etc. will be closed.

Adding to the traffic will be a huge retail complex to be built by the casino off of Stoney Point.

Yet another shopping complex called the Wilfred/Dowdell Village (300,000 square feet) is planned for north of Wilfred.

Don't forget about the Green Music Performing Arts Center on Expressway and Synder that will have special events. Sonoma State is also planning a sports complex.

Let's not overlook the old Agilent site that Coddingtown is looking to restore with light businesses and homes in the M Section.
